International Tiger Day

By Ankur Garg 29 July 2022

International Tiger Day is also known as Global Tiger Day celebrated to promote awareness for tiger conservation, held every year on 29 July. The day's purpose is to make a worldwide system that will be dedicated to protecting tigers and their natural habitats. A safer and thriving habitat for tigers means that we take care of other species and our forests, too. Tiger day is also aimed to raise public awareness and support for tiger conservation issues.

It was in 2010 at the Saint Petersburg Tiger Summit in Russia, that the idea of ‘International Tiger Day’ came and it was decided that it would be celebrated every year on 29 July.
