India In WTC Final 2023: Team India made history by making it to the WTC final a 2nd time
India has advanced to the World Test Championship (WTC) final, where they will face Australia for the competition's top worldwide prize. After New Zealand defeated Sri Lanka by two wickets in their first Test match in Christchurch, off the last delivery, they were assured of a spot in the championship game.

The outcomes of both Test matches—in Ahmedabad and Christchurch—were equally important for the World Tennis Championship final contest, which continued on Monday. If Sri Lanka had beaten New Zealand, they would have stayed in the race - if India didn't win in Ahmedabad - but with Kane Williamson hitting an unbeaten 121 and Daryl Mitchell scoring a quick 86-ball 81, New Zealand pulled off a win that didn't look possible for the longest time, off the very last ball of the game. The outcome eliminated Sri Lanka from contention for the WTC championship.
#TeamIndia have qualified for the ICC World Test Championship Final for the second time in a row.
