January 6, 2023, Monday - Bank Holiday on Thiruvalluvar Day in Chennai.

New Year and Sunday 1 January will be bank holidays. Apart from this, banks across the country will remain closed due to Sundays on 8, 15, 22, and 29 January. At the same time, due to the fourth Saturday, there will be a bank holiday on January 14 and 28.
