Ind vs Aus 2022: Series win over Australia India breaks Pakistan's record for most wins
India vs Australia 3rd T20 Match: India defeated Australia by six wickets in the third and final T-20 international here on Sunday to win the three-match series 2-1.
Prior to Australia taking the lead again, India had the lead in the chase thanks to half-centuries from Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav. With one ball left, it was Hardik Pandya who ultimately completed the pursuit.
Australia scored a total of 186 runs after being given the opportunity to bat, with Tim David scoring 54 runs and Cameron Green scoring 52 runs off 21 balls.
The starting for India was not good as opener Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul lost their wickets early, but A spectacular 104-run third-wicket partnership between Kohli and Suryakumar, which took place in just 62 balls, nearly took the game away from Australia.
Kohli smashed a six off the opening delivery to give his team the momentum, but Green himself played a significant part with the ball in slowing the flow of runs on India in the latter overs. With one ball in hand, Pandya then led the hosts across the goal line.
